7th Annual ACIT Summer Tabla Workshop

Take your tabla performance to the next level, here in Seattle! This special workshop for intermediate and advanced players will address how to put your skills to use in a concert setting, the differences when performing with various instruments/vocal, with live demonstrations!

Leading the workshop will be Javad Butah (M. Mus., Cal Arts), an accomplished performer & instructor based in Los Angeles CA. A disciple of Pt. Anindo Chatterjee, Javad has extensive training in tabla performance, accompaniment and instruction. Javad will lead us through how to utilize our abilities  to the fullest in a performance setting and gain new knowledge.  Also joining us will be professional sarodist Brandon McIntosh with live demonstrations.
